About Veil
Veil is provided by MOTTA E MARQUES TECNOLOGIA LTDA. It keeps photos, videos, documents and notes in encrypted private spaces on your device. This website provides product information, support and a browser photo tool. Purchases are handled by Apple in the app. An independent security audit has not been completed.
Using Veil
Use Veil only with files you own or have permission to use, and in accordance with applicable law. The Apple standard license agreement applies to App Store distribution unless a different license is presented there. These service descriptions do not remove consumer rights that cannot be waived.
Free access and storage limits
Free access includes 3 spaces, with up to 100 photos and 10 videos per space. There is no document or note count limit. Your device provides the storage: every plan remains subject to device capacity, a 100 MB per-file limit and a 512 MB backup-file limit including packaging overhead.
Subscriptions and payments
Veil Plus offers weekly, annual and lifetime plans. The US launch prices are $1.79 per week, $17.99 per year and $34.99 for lifetime access. Availability varies by region. Review the local price, billing period and renewal details in Apple’s purchase confirmation before buying.
Weekly and annual subscriptions renew automatically under Apple’s purchase terms. Manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings. Deleting Veil does not cancel a subscription. You can request eligible purchase refunds from Apple; a refund is not guaranteed.
What lifetime includes
Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no renewal. It unlocks the available local Veil Plus features for the supported life of the app on compatible devices: unlimited space, photo and video counts, plus alternate app icons. Storage and file-size limits still apply. Weekly and annual plans unlock the same available features while active.
A Plus purchase does not buy cloud storage or guarantee perpetual online hosting. Online backup, sharing and sync are separate capabilities and are not promised as part of lifetime access.
Restore purchases with the Apple account that bought Plus. This restores access, not vault files. If a subscription expires or a purchase is refunded, Free admission limits apply again, but saved files remain readable, exportable and recoverable above those limits.
Protect your recovery options
Keep encrypted backups and their matching recovery codes separately. A recovery code alone cannot recreate deleted files. We cannot reset a pattern by email. Deletion and duress can permanently remove local access; exported copies, older backups and copies on other devices are not erased by these actions.
Compatibility can change with operating-system updates. Keep a verified portable backup and do not use Veil as the only copy of irreplaceable files. The browser photo tool produces a new image and may change resolution, color or other properties; keep the original.
